Its not like I'm back or anything

It looks like the old blog circle is still going strong. To some extent at least... Everybody posts whenever they feel like now, months in between, as opposed to the daily ones from time past. It's fine. It promotes better quality, I think, and it's actually more genuine. I hope the rest of the old bloggers come back but something tells me they won't. I mean, I'm only here for the obligated yearly post. I guess I'll go back to talking about anime.

Uh... I'm not sure where to start. There's like a whole year's worth of shows I have to go over. But I'm not going to. How about I just name random ones until I can't think of any.

Did you watch Ninja Slayer? Me neither, that show's boring and puts me to sleep. I'm not even joking, it's bad.

UBW TV is finally here but I've only seen the first season. It's meh. They really enjoy animating effects, though. I also feel bad for idiots who only saw F/Z and are just coming into this. Boy are they in for a surprise.

I hope everybody saw Cross Ange. It was really good. It may have overstayed its welcome near the end but overall a lot of fun.

I hope nobody saw Aldnoah Zero. It was terrible in all aspects. Uninspired schlock that deserves to be forgotten.

There was another season of Free last year too. I liked it, more of the same isn't bad.

What was up with Inou-Battle? Do you guys still remember that show?

Do you still remember Locodol? I hope you do because that show was great. Slice of life in a rural Japanese city about being a local idol. Nice to take it easy.

Tokyo Ghoul was shit but everybody knows that. Neat OST though.

Gekkan Shoujo Nozaki-kun was amazing. What else do you want me to say?

Shigatsu wa Kimi no Uso was good. The right amount of melodrama for me.

Ping Pong was a success. Let's all congratulate Yuasa on another good anime.

GochiUsa and Koufuku Graffiti were two SOL I enjoyed. You know, the easy going kind.

I plan to watch the sequel to Kiniro this season.

Hibike was a surprise hit. Looking forward to it every week.

That's it I guess.

I was going to talk about this when it happened but everything went by so quickly that I just didn't. In just four days, a huge event took place and it was interesting to follow what happened while it did. Mods should never be paid for but we all know that. Some say a schism developed in the modding community but others say it only weeded out the weak.

That's all I have to say for now. I don't know when the next post will be. I don't have much to talk about. Every day is pretty much the same.

I hope you have a good day.

untitled okay..

So, uh, hey there. Been a while but whatever. I hope you guys are still around. I'll still write something anyway.

Sit back and enjoy.
I'm going to recommend some shows from this season that I feel have been overlooked or aren't appreciated enough. Now, I don't claim to watch every single show each season but I'm pretty sure I watch way more than the average viewer. I won't list everything. They're shows that I look forward to every week and now that the season is almost over it's a pretty good time to catch up. They're all two cour, after all.

Strike the Blood
This show isn't outstanding or anything but it is fun. Better described as Index with a better Touma, Misaka as main heroine, and all the characters are much more rational that they feel like real people. It subverts tropes and cliches so often that it's become somewhat of a main selling point. If you don't like LN battle shonen then I'm not sure if this will change your mind but I would at least recommend you give it a try. It takes the formula and manages to still be fresh. Also, Kishida Kyoudan OP.

Nagi no Asukara
I'm surprised by how much I'm enjoying this show. Usually these melodramatic love polygons tend to layer the melodrama too thick. There's a good balance between the slice of life, conflict, and romance. It's fun to see what happens next or at least I find it fun. I like the music too and the visuals do look pretty at certain points. Addressing the obvious, the studio behind this is P.A. Works with Mari Okada on series composition. Who knows what kind of shit they're going to pull but so far I really like it.

Samurai Flamenco
A show that has been a hot topic recently due to its plot. Even if you know what I'm talking about, it's still an amazing show. Obviously, you'd appreciate it more if you're a fan of Tokusatsu but I'd still recommend it. Think of it as a parody and homage while still trying to do its own thing. Its got my seal of approval as one of the best shows this season. Go watch it now if you haven't!

So there you have it. I'll try to get back into the swing of things but no promises. For now I leave you with a really useful video. Even more useful if you played Skyrim.

untitled

The time has come to write another blog post. Also, every blog post needs this stupid preface so that I can get into the groove of writing one.

I guess I'll talk about some anime that's airing this season. Just the more notable ones though. Actually, this season seems like it's filled with plenty of high profile shows.

Don't mind me, just posting best oreimo.
She only wants what's best for you.

This season is pretty great, although I think every season is great. New Oreimo, new Railgun, MgMaou-sama, mecha show about alignment sugar coating, guilty geass seed destiny r2 vampire edition, and frodo of the really big dudes. Of course, that's not all I'm watching but these are just a few.

"My waifu can beat up your'e waifu!"
"Eww, get off me!"

I'm enjoying Valvrave in the sense that it's so bad that it's good. I'm waiting for the inevitable shitstorm that will come. It's going to happen, I just know it!

tap tap
I was really enjoying Gargantia until ep. 3. Just kinda felt like the writing took a nosedive but it felt more like filler just to get to the slice of life parts that will come. The mecha designs look really shitty but that's not really what the show's about though.

Umm, I guess that's it. I've been playing different video games on and off but I can't manage to stick to one. I'm hoping I'll actually complete one soon.
